Stikine MLA Nathan Cullen facing more hateful messaging

More hate messaging has been directed at
Stikine MLA Nathan Cullen recently

An ongoing concern of hate messaging in the Northwest has taken centre stage again over the weekend, that as Stikine MLA Nathan Cullen shared a photo of a defaced political message sign in his riding, the latest incident of vandalism and hate messages to be seen in the region.

The MLA addressing the issue once again through his social media feeds over the weekend.

The past incidences appearing to ramp up in frequency during the period of COVID and government measures put in place towards the provincial response to the medical concerns.

The MLA made note of the concerning nature of the hateful messaging back in December of last year.

The most recent incident has made for some discussion on the MLA's social media stream and as it has in the past the commentary is being framed in political themes.

Some familiar names in the region and  province have weighed in through twitter, highlighting the ugly nature of the commentary, but other comments along the way indicate that not everyone understands the concept of civil debate as part of our political dynamic.

More notes on the work of Mr. Cullen in the Legislature can be explored here.
