The District of Port Edward is looking to draw from reserves to address some changes required to the Five year Financial Plan, the need for the financial boost required to address expenses not anticipated when the document was adopted back on March 8th.
The Two amendments include:
$200,000 Transfer from General Capital Reserve to fund additional remediation of Alder Avenue first phase residential site.
$120,000 Transfer from Machinery & Equipment Reserve to fund additional equipment purchases.
A notice posted to the District Website outlined the full scope of the amendments and plan moving forward for them.

Residents have until August 9th to comment on the proposed amendments by contacting the District Office by email at lpage@portedward.ca or by delivering their comments to the District Office at 770 Pacific Avenue.
