The latest call for bids from the City of Prince Rupert could soon deliver some improved playing conditions for the city's outdoor tennis and basketball court users.
On April 28th, the City posted a bid to the BC Bid website calling for quotations from qualified proponents towards resurfacing and other work related to the two outdoor facilities in the city.
The first is the McBride Street Tennis and Basketball Courts, along with the Tennis only courts located on Second Avenue West just west of Five Corners.
The City's Bid Request notes outline the details of the Bid for potential applicants.

The City's timeline for the work is that the successful bidder start work on or before June 1st, with a completion date by the End of August.
The deadline to submit a bid for the work is by 4:30PM on May 13th.
The work will also introduce a pickle ball option for residents, with the lines required on at least one of the courts for that sport to be included in the summer refresh.
