The Great Prince Rupert land sell off has seen one more civic owned lot put up on the auction block, with the City making note of a property in the 1000 block of 10th Avenue East that is now available for purchase.

The Asking price for the 25 x 100 foot lot has been set at 55,000 dollars, with the city set to consider offers.

The 10th East Property is the latest of civic land to be offered up for sale, in April the city released a number of lots for sale as part of their recent initiatives towards increasing the housing stock in the community.

A list of the individual lots that are for sale can be reviewed from the city website here.

In addition to the list of pockets of land around the city that are now available, in March the City announced a significant release of land through Legacy Inc. a move that could see large scale development of housing and light industrial options in three areas of the community.

So far, City Council has not provided any updates on what the response has been to date to their multiple initiatives to generate more housing in Prince Rupert.

More notes on housing can be reviewed here.
