City Council tonight will consider allowing Kaien Trail Enhancement and Recreation Society to access liability insurance through a municipal insurance association |
Prince Rupert council members will receive a report from the City's Chief Financial Officer that will recommend approval of a Service Provider Agreement between the City and Kaien Island Trial Enhancement Society, that to provide for Liability Insurance Coverage through a provincial agency, the Municipal Insurance Association.
The report which you can review below, notes of rising costs of insurance the Society and how the pandemic of the last two years has impacted on their fundraising options since 2020. The report also outlines some of the scope of the agreement that the City has for care and control of a City asset (Rushbrook Trail) with the Kaien Island Trail group.
Council members will have opportunity to speak to the topic following the presentation and then will decide whether to move forward on the CFO's recommendation.
