Parliamentary Transportation Committee set for St. Patrick's Day tour of Prince Rupert Port Facilities

A look at Port facilities and trade themes is on the horizon as
a Parliamentary Transportation Committee makes its way to Prince Rupert

Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP, Taylor Bachrach will be on home turf of sorts tomorrow, set to be joined by members of a touring Parliamentary Transportation Committee that is scheduled for a visit to Prince Rupert tomorrow.

The St. Patrick's Day visit will see the travelling party taken on a tour of local port facilities, as well as to meet with Port officials to learn more about the Prince Rupert Gateway that send Canada's Global exports to market and brings in import from the Asian continent.

The Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP made note of the tour through his social media stream this week.

Considering his recent work on infrastructure themes for the City of Prince Rupert,  hopefully Mr. Bachrach will ensure that a meeting with civic officials at City Hall will be part of the agenda.

That to better inform the Committee members as to some of the challenges that smaller communities find from an expanding footprint from Port facilities.

Mr. Bachrach recently took the concerns of Prince Rupert to Question Period in the House of Commons to highlight some of the infrastructure struggles for the community.

You can review some of the Committee's work from their page on the Our Commons website.

A look at their tour of Eastern Canadian ports so far and what's ahead for the West Coast can be found from their Social Media Stream here.

Areas of interest on Port themes can be reviewed here.

More notes on themes from the House of Commons can be reviewed here.
