One of the largest Industrial shippers on the Prince Rupert waterfront has announced a new appointment to their Executive Team, with Dan Woznow announced as a Senior Vice President for Business Diversification.

The newest Vice President, who joined Trigon in January, brings more than 25 years of technical and commercial expertise in energy and infrastructure, with notes on his resume observing of over 14 years with AltaGas as well as his past experience in areas of Renewable Energy.
Much of his work on Trigon's Diversification planning will come with the debut of their Berth 2 Beyond Carbon project, which is currently under construction at the Ridley Island terminal site.
We outlined the scope of that initiative last November, following an announcement of 75 million dollars in from funding from the Federal Government will develop shipping facilities for low carbon energy products.
Once completed the B2BC project will increase Trigon's throughput capacity from the current level of 18.5 million tonnes to an estimated 33.5 million tonnes.
The pace of that work had dredging taking place in late December, early January, with pile driving the next element, it's anticipated that the Berth 2 Beyond Carbon terminal will be I operation by the summer of 2026.

The coal shipping terminal was sold off as a Crown Company in 2019 and is partially Indigenous owned by the Metlakatla First Nation and the Lax Kw'alaams Band.
The focus towards diversification was first outlined in April of 2022 when Ridley Terminals Incorporated changed its name to Trigon Pacific Terminals.
