as members face some tough decisions towards the program

A social media post for the local chapter of the Crimestoppers program has raised the very real prospect that it could soon shut down its operations in the Prince Rupert area.

Calling the decision ahead a challenging one, the local community group has called on the public to help it with that decision whether to continue on, or close operations down.

To move forward however, will require some commitment from the public towards participation in the program. The notice observes of the small core group of seven who have served the program over the past years.

However, like many volunteer organizations in the community, they note that they have been unsuccessful in recruiting new volunteers to lend a hand and share in the work required for the program to succeed.

They are seeking input from the community and asking for those with comments and suggestions to message them towards their future plans.

You can learn more about their work and their call for feedback to their decision from their Social Media page here.
