Port Edward prepares for community consultation on new neighbourhood concept plan

The District of Port Edward is about to launch work on a concept plan
for the core area of the community

(from District of PE FB page)

They haven't set a date as of yet, but at some point in the near future residents of Port Edward will be asked to weigh in with comments and observations on what the District is calling a Neighbourhood Concept Plan for the core area of the townsite.

The area that is being looked at is near the Marina and General Store, with the District making use of the services of their contractor McElhenney to provide for the development concept planning.

District officials haven't said too much about the plans just yet, advising residents to watch their Social Media page for upcoming updates and advisories as the plans move forward.

Some residents however are already somewhat excited at the prospect of development in the area, with Port Edward officials already hearing of some ideas from the community.

You can explore some of those submissions here.
