Nisga'a members offered opportunity to access water station supply from Nisga'a Hall during City of Prince Rupert Water Advisory

As Prince Rupert enters the second day of a new Water Advisory for residents, the Gitmaxmak'ay Nisga'a Society is once again offering its membership an opportunity to access their filtered water supply.

Nisga'a members have two opportunities per day to fill up to 2 - 18 litre jugs per visit.

The details and timeline for the water supply refills can be reviewed below.

The Nisga'a Lisims Government provided the Water Station for Prince Rupert/Port Edward Nisga'a residents in 2019 that as a response to the 2018/19 water advisory, that water issue which included a Boil Water order lasted over three months.

You can learn more about the current City of Prince Rupert Water Advisory from our notes from yesterday afternoon

The Monday advisory was put in place after high turbidity levels were detected  in the city's drinking supply, the advisory also included a recommendation to Boil water for the use of children, pregnant women, the elderly and persons with weakened immune systems.
