The Nisga'a election nomination period starts next month |
September 9th to 23rd is the window of opportunity for those interested in contesting the upcoming Nisga'a Government elections, with a range of positions up for the voters to consider.
The elections which cover all of the communities of the Nisga'a Lisims territory includes 2 local urban representative positions for Prince Rupert/Port Edward.
Nomination packages will be made available to those with an interest starting on August 25th, they can be picked up locally at the Prince Rupert/Port Edward Urban local office at the Nisga'a Hall on Third Avenue West.

Currently the Prince Rupert/Port Edward area is represented by Clifford Morgan and Juanita Parnell.

The regular elections will take place in early November.
