Port Edward brings Water Advisory to and end for District residents

The District of Port Edward has removed their
Water Advisory for residents

The District of Port Edward has provided the green light for residents when it comes to the status of the water for the community, declaring the recent Water Advisory to now be over.

The message relayed through the District's Facebook page was delivered just after 9:30 this morning.

The Advisories were delivered off and on over the last month, related to repairs at the Water Treatment plant, as well as a result of last week's rather extensive rainfall in the region.

The City of Prince Rupert issued its own Water Advisory related to that weather event last Monday, relaying a Boil Water Notice from Northern Health which noted that children, pregnant women, the elderly and persons with weakened immune systems, should drink boiled water at this time.

So far there has been no further update on the status of the city's water supply provided by Prince Rupert officials.
