A new Northern Health online check in program for some select services at PRRH has been introduced in Prince Rupert |
With many hospital services now on an appointment only basis, Northern Health has moved towards an online check in system to allow you to let staff at the hospital know you are there, while you safely social distance.
The program will also reduce the amount of time users spend in a waiting room as well as the number of people in the waiting room, it will also serve to control the number of people in a health care facility.
The online process was developed by ICSUSA, for those who have used Life Labs service elsewhere in BC the new Northern Health program is similar to the "Save My Spot" program that Life Labs uses.
The mobile and computer program is available through Apple App Store, Google Play store or through a QR code which you can scan using the camera on your smart phone.
The roll out of the online option is being done gradually at all Northern Health facilities and will be used for such services as lab tests, X-ray imaging and ECG/Holger monitoring.
The introduction of the project in Prince Rupert was shared by Northern Health through their Prince Rupert Facebook page.
