Window for Public comment on Annual Report closes tonight at City Council

Residents of Prince Rupert who may have some comments or questions about the City's 2018 Annual Report have their only public opportunity to take them to Council tonight, with a public engagement session on the 2018 Annual Report scheduled as part of the Committee of the Whole tonight starting at 7PM at City Hall.

The Report which was delivered by City Manager Robert Long at the June 10th Council session, provides the city's snapshot of the year just passed and some of their plans for the future.

The Report was posted to the City's website on June 19th, with the window for written contributions a rather short three days, expiring as of 4 PM on Friday June 21st.

You can review the document here, Council members will be on hand this evening at the Committee of the Whole to receive comments, if any, before they move to adopt the annual report as part of the Regular Council session.

We took our readers through a tour of the document ten days ago, the Annual Report is the final element of a string of reports and documents that Council has received in recent weeks as part of the wrap up of the Budget Season work.

Also available for review by the public are:

SOFI Report on Council Compensation
SOFI Report on employee remuneration
SOFI Report on Civic purchases and expenses

Regional District has also released their SOFI information for 2018, you can review those notes here.

For more items of note related to this evening's City of Prince Rupert Council Session see our Preview page here, a wider overview of civic notes can be found as part of Council Discussion Archive.
