Port Edward Council to host special session tonight

The Dog Days of summer are making for some additional work for the region's elected officials, as we noted yesterday, City of Prince Rupert council members will be back in the Third Avenue West council chamber this evening for a Special Council session set for 5:30.

Out Port Edward way, the Port Edward council will also settle in for an evening session as well, the Special meeting called for 7PM at the Municipal Hall in the District.

However, the nature of tonight's meeting in Port Edward would suggest that any members of the public inclined to take in the session in person may as well stay home.

The only item on the Agenda, as noted above, is to Close the Session to the public.

That as the Port Edward members discuss items noted as related to litigation or potential litigation, as well as the proposal of provision of a municipal service that the District has determined needs to be discussed in the the Closed forum.

More notes on past Port Edward themes can be reviewed from our archive page.
