After a brief interruption to their summer vacation by way of a Special Council session in mid August, City Council members will wind down their summer with their Regularly Scheduled Session for August an evening which provides for a significant number of items of interest for review tonight.
A range of reports make for the bulk of their work ahead tonight, most part of the Consent Agenda with contributions from the Fire Chief, Operations Director, Financial Office and the Communications Manager.
Of note are updates on the city's plans to move Operations to the MacCarthy property on Portage, a new look at some parking options for the Cow Bay Area and the status of the 4th Avenue Walkway issue.
Council will also hear of a renewal towards a ship breaking location for the Industrial Park, a policy review towards Permissive Property Tax Exemption and a report recommending the city create a new civic flag.
The evening also features an opportunity in the early going of the session for the public to comment on items listed on the Agenda.
Monday's Regular Council session starts at 7 PM and can be viewed by way of the Live Feed from the City Website.
