Metlakatla First Nation asks for RSVP's to upcoming Community meetings

The interest in two upcoming Metlakatla First Nation Community meetings to explore background on a Specific Claims Tribunal, is such that the First Nation's communication office is asking for RSVP's for the two sessions planned for this week.

Metlakatla members on the Prince Rupert side of the harbour will be meeting tomorrow at the Crest Hotel in the BC Room, 

A dinner comes with that gathering starting at 5:30, the presentation is set for a 6:30 PM start

Wednesday is the date for the final session, that one to be hosted in Metlakatla, with the location of the forun still be be decided on. 

That session has a start time of 9:30 AM

Two previous gatherings hosted last week in Vancouver and Prince George for Metlakatla members outside of the North Coast were well attended affairs as well.

The purpose of the meetings is to share some background of the Claim, the decision and to review for the membership the options that are being considered for monetary compensation.

As part of their community engagement, the Metlakatla membership can also participate virtually through Zoom.
