The Public can have its first look and first say tonight towards a proposed housing project for an area along Ninth Avenue West at Lisa Walters Drive; the plans one's which would see a proposed multi family structure of forty units to be adjacent to the city's Middle School and the Golf Course.
City Council set the course towards tonights Public Hearing on May 26th, that after the housing proposal was introduced to Council at their 23rd Session.
That brief introduction to the project one which offered up few details, other than the prospect of 40 units of market housing for the community.
The Public will learn more tonight, following a report from Myfannwy Pope, the City's Director of Development Services.

As the May 23rd notes reveal, the 9th West plans are but one of two high profile housing plans on the radar for City Council.
The other is for an apartment complex on Hays Cove at Frederick a proposal for a 35 unit multi-family complex which was introduced on May 8th and is part of the City's Rapid Housing initiative, with the city currently seeking Federal funding for it's development.
The Hays Cove plans moved forward to Statutory notification on May 11th.
The topic of the Hays Cove housing initiative generated some discussion at the May23rd session with a requested variance request granted on the nightn,
Both projects are located on City owned land which has been identified for housing use.
