The province is looking to learn more about what upgrades are required for the Provincial Court House in Prince Rupert |
It's a significant piece of Prince Rupert history, the home of Justice system on the North Coast and has been a backdrop for community photos and events for decades.
And like any building that spans generations, the Prince Rupert Court House is in need of a few upgrades, a project that makes for one of the latest calls for Proposals on the provincial BC Bid site.
The focus for the call for submissions that of seeking the services of a professional consulting team to provide guidance to the Province on the work that may be required.
The Consultant Team will make recommendations options to improve performance and optimize energy consumption while providing options to reduce Green House Gases (GHG) emissions.
From the Project Background section of the prospectus from the Province, the main approach for the Consultant Team will be to offer up their recommendations repair, replace or upgrade options of existing building systems along with cost estimates and proposed construction phasing.
The call for proposals closes on July 13, 2023, the award of the contract to come by August, the successful applicant will have until December to deliver a final report to the Province.
