Opportunity to comment on City of Prince Rupert Annual Report comes Monday with Public Meeting at 7PM


Residents of Prince Rupert have a few more days to review the 2022 Annual Report from the City of Prince Rupert, with the document now available online and in print and an opportunity comment on it coming up on Monday evening.

We outlined some of the key elements of the report last week, with the fifty eight page report covering a lot of material from municipal achievements to how the city is addressing ongoing challenges.

Included in the report, are numerous financial statements related to civic operations.

Monday's City Council session, will had double duty, with a 7 PM start signalling a public meeting focused on the 2022 Annual Report.


As Mayor Pond notes above, the City has produced a short video synopsis of the year that was 2022, which you can review below:



Veronika Stewart, the City's Manager of Communications, Engagement and Social Development  provided a short introduction of the Annual Report at the June 12th Council Session, you can hear more on that from the City's Video from the session starting at the 11 minute mark.

Council members will be standing by Monday to hear your views on the Report, the invitation to the Meeting coming through an event page created on the City's Social Media stream,



The City also advises that you can submit your comments in writing:

As part of our Annual General Meeting, the City is inviting public comment on the 2022 Annual Report. 

Residents may attend the meeting to speak to the report, or provide written comments by email to the Corporate Administrator at: rosamaria.miller@princerupert.ca, or by providing written comments to 424 3rd Avenue West, Prince Rupert, BC, V8J 1L7

All comments must be submitted on or before 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 26th, 2023.
