The North Coast Transition Society is looking to get as accurate a count on the homelessness situation in Prince Rupert and towards that quest, reminds the community of their Homeless Count survey that takes place today with two options to participate.
The Society is looking to hear from those who are currently housed in unconventional ways, that such as living with friends, camping or living in a vehicle or RV.
Other areas that count towards their work include those who are staying at a sheet or Transition House, sleeping on the streets or couch surfing around the community.
To register your situation, drop by the upper parking lot at Crane's Crossing at on Third Avenue West and register in the Homeless Count tent.
You can also call The North Coast Transition Society at 250-600-0793 they will be registering the homeless count until 8PM tonight.
Updates on their work today can be reviewed through the NCTS Social media stream.
More notes on Housing themes in the city can be explored from our archive page.
