MLA's returned to the Legislature on Monday following their Easter Break, with a range of legislation making progress this week, among the key areas of work, the forward momentum for a number of housing initiatives.
The issue of housing of some note for one of the three Northwest MLA's through the four days of sessions.

A provincial initiative first put in place for YVR in Vancouver, is making its way North with an announcement this week towards a greener Port footprint in Prince Rupert.
The Lieutenant Governor and Public Safety Minister and Solicitor General Mike Farnworth also hosted a two night celebration of the work of Law enforcement, with the Provincial honours program noting of some northwest recipients.
As for the Northwest MLA's the schedule was a mixed one, with Skeena MLA Ellis Ross gaining the most mentions for work both in the Legislature and through Committee work.

On the week, Ms Rice was mentioned once for the week in the Legislature from April 17-20.
The North Coast MLA's only Legislature appearance came on Monday morning, when she spoke on themes of BC Ferries service on the coast, part of a larger conversation that morning on the status of the Ferry Corporation.
It was also a busy Friday for the MLA in the home constituency, with appearances at two significant announcements in Prince Rupert.
The Port/Province partnership noted at the top of our notes here, as well as the groundbreaking ceremony for the new ILWU Hall in downtown Prince Rupert.

For our readers from the Terrace-Kitimat region, Skeena MLA Ellis Ross was mentioned three times in the record for the week in the Legislature from April 17-20.
The Skeena MLA continued with his towards Premier Eby's newest housing strategy, speaking to the theme on Monday
He would follow up on concerns over Housing on Tuesday, noting specifically of issues in Terrace related to the Coachman Apartments.
Mr. Ross, as all MLA's eventually do, had opportunity to lead the Legislature in morning prayer on Tuesday morning, the Skeena MLA sharing a family prayer from Kitamaat Village with the members. (see video at 10:06AM minute mark)
Tuesday afternoon the MLA spoke as part of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee session, relaying some Transportation issues related to the HandyDart program in Terrace (13:47 PM mark)
He continued his work as s part of a Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure on Wednesday, as Mr. Ross shared some commentary on the nature of the Environmental Assessment Act as part of the evening Committee session. (The MLA's comments start at the 18:10PM mark)
Ross also participated in the Discussion on Estimates for the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction (raising notes from the Terrace area at the 17:00 PM mark)
Mr. Ross serves as the Liberal critic on LNG and Energy

For our readers from the Bulkley Valley area, Stikine MLA Nathan Cullen was mentioned twice in the record for the week in the Legislature from April 17-20.
That came as he provided introductions for the Legislature.
First noting of the presence in the Gallery of Smithers Councillor, Greg Brown for an introduction came at 13:36 of the Monday afternoon session.
Thursday morning Mr. Cullen had opportunity to highlight the presence of two of his staff members in the gallery , that at the 10:06 AM mark of the session.
The Stikine MLA is not currently assigned to any Parliamentary Committees.
Mr. Cullen serves as the Government's Minister of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship.
