District of Port Edward moves forward with Request for Quotations towards New Residential subdivision

The quest to develop more housing on the North Coast is on the move in the District of Port Edward, with the District releasing A Request for Quotations last week.

That one more step towards the development of the site on Alder Avenue that has been designated for new housing for the community.

The document as posted by the District outlines what Port Edward officials are looking for when it comes to the first of three phases towards housing.

The early site works proposed by this Request for Quotations (RFQ) are designed to facilitate and incentivize this residential development, manage development costs and ensure good returns to the municipality.

These early site works will support a first phase of a three phase subdivision; Phase 1 is currently targeted for single family lots – Council’s vision is to see homes with rental suites for a total of 22 housing units.
