Make it two on the list of current council members to now take a pass on the upcoming Municipal election, that as Councillor Blair Mirau announced through his social media streams today that he will not be seeking re-election in the fall.

Like Mayor Lee Brain who declared he would not be running for re-election in January, Mr. Mirau makes note of some of his life changes since his election to office in November 2014.

He also observes how he is stepping aside as way of making space for a diverse slate of new perspectives on Council who want to help realize Vision 2030.

In what will now be his final term, he like Mayor Brain now have only eight more months to put their final stamps on their time in the municipal spotlight.

As they do, you can follow the countdown to their final farewells through our archive page.
