Significant drop in COVID numbers for Prince Rupert from weekly BC CDC report, with just one case recorded in last seven days


The weekly data release from the BC CDC, has taken Prince Rupert to the single digits and as close to a week of Zero COVID as you can get, without actually getting there.

For the week  of review ending November 20th, Prince Rupert recorded just one case of COVID, the results from the city making for the best results of all of the Northwest communities in the data release.

The other end of the reporting dynamic can be found ninety minutes to the east with Terrace surging upwards over the last seven days with a jump of 28 cases to 91 cases for the week ending November 20th, making for the highest results in the northwest.

All other regions of the Northwest either held to their previous levels or realized declines of the last seven days, with exception of Kitimat, Haida Gwaii and Nisga'a regions which increased by one case each.


The full review across the region for the week of November 14-20 from the BC CDC looks as follows:

Terrace -- 91 cases
Smithers -- 22 cases
Bella Coola Valley -- 22 cases
Burns Lake -- 17 cases
Upper Skeena -- 
 10 cases
Nechako -- 9 cases
Kitimat --  9 cases
Nisga'a Region --  9 cases
Snow Country-Stikine- Telegraph Creek --
 3 cases
Central Coast -- 2 cases
Haida Gwaii -- 2 case
Prince Rupert -- 1 case

Wednesday's provincial report lists  44 new cases of COVID for Northern Health,  with 415 Active cases.
