The letter sent out on Monday, calls on the Federal government support fishermen through these challenging times, as well as to seek out a commitment towards more collaboration between Federal and Provincial agencies towards protection and rebuilding of Steelhead stocks in the northwest.
Mr. Bachrach also takes advantage of the opportunity to once again reinforce the need for action on the derelict vessels of the Port Edward area, noting of the plan for removal of one of the two by the Prince Rupert Port Authority, but seeking a resolution to the issue of the second vessel.
In his concluding remarks, the MP seeks out a meeting with the Minister to discuss the issues further.

The Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP will have further opportunity to converse with the Minister when Parliament returns on November 22nd and he'll have the forum of the House of Commons to make enquiries of the Minister on the progress on the files raised.
