New Funding opportunity for Indigenous Tourism Business and Entrepreneurs

Tourism Prince Rupert is spreading the word on a new funding opportunity that will match up Indigenous Tourism applicants with a tourism mentor along with five thousand dollars in seed grant money to help develop your ideas.

Called the Spark program, the initiative includes a Region wide call out for applicants, small businesses and non profits.

The applications will be reviewed by a jury including local and provincial tourism innovators and leaders

The Finalists will take part in a Pitch Session (think friendly Dragon's Den they say) with the final selection to see 3 winning applicants chosen from each participating area.

In addition to the Spark Grant funding, if successful, the program will provide for a three month mentorship along with access to a support network of tourism innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders.

As well the successful applicants will receive ongoing guidance on other resources and support services that are provided by partners.

Some further background on the program can be reviewed from the video below:

The Deadline to participate in the program is December 17th.
