McClymont Park is the proposed site for a new PUMP TRACK as a new recreation option in the community (from the City of PR Agenda page for Nov 22) |
Bike enthusiasts in Prince Rupert will be waiting to hear the verdict on the plan to develop a PUMP Track in the city, with Council set to receive a report from the City's Operations Director suggesting approval of a licence of occupation for the new recreation item.
In the report for Council, Richard Pucci outlines the analysis that the City has done towards a request for the licence of occupation for a parcel of land along McClymont Creek Park area to be used for the new all ages pump track.
The review finds no issues related to the site choice from the city and only notes that the North Coast Mountain Bike Association will need to have appropriate insurance in place for the desired use.
The association is currently fundraising towards their project.
The conclusion to the document recommending that the City enter into the proposed Licence of Occupation with the North Coast Mountain Bike Association.
Cross posted from the North Coast Review.
