North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice has some good news for residents of Haida Gwaii |
In an announcement today, both Old Masset and Masset will see funding towards support for some of their most vulnerable residents.
“The pandemic has placed a strain on the vital supports that are provided to people experiencing homelessness in our community.This new funding will help Old Masset in partnership with the Niislla Naay Healing House Society to expand emergency shelter spaces and enhance their support recovery efforts for people in need.” -- Jennifer Rice, MLA for North Coast.
Masset is receiving $200,000 in joint provincial and federal funding to expand emergency shelter spaces for community members of Gaw Tlagee which will help enhance supportive recovery efforts for people who are vulnerable.
