A summer of road repair is about to launch as the City of Prince Rupert puts its paving program for 2021 out for bid |
Some good news for the residents of the city as they bounce across far too many potholes and crumbling roads, the City of Prince Rupert is ramping up its planning for a 2021 paving program, issuing a call for bids from interested contractors on Monday.
As part of the call for tenders, the City has identified nineteen areas for attention as part of the 2021 program
The dots on the map above indicate which areas of the city will receive attention, though it won't be a paving of entire streets, with the project outline available from the BC bid documentation available online, providing for the details as to what will be tackled in each area.
The deadline for the submission of bids is 2 PM on May 17th, proposals are to be delivered to Jordan Schmidt, the City's Assistant Operations Manger.
The paving project is expected to be completed on or before September 24th of this year
