45 New Child Care Spaces destined for old Booth School location

The province of British Columbia has rolled out the latest announcement on Child Care, with an update today that makes note of 225 new licensed Child Care Spaces in the Northwest, with 45 of them to be created in a space being opened up by SD52.

North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice outlined some of the Northwest programs today through this information release, the MLA noting of the impact the new spaces will have in the communities.

The Provincial government notes that the additional Prince Rupert space  will be put in place at the Sunnyside Child Care Centre, located in the old music room of the Booth School Building.

Parent's should be able to take advantage of that option by the start of the fall school year.

SD52 has not as of yet expanded on the details for the new Prince Rupert child care option, the other Northwest communities to share in the funding today included Terrace, Kitimat, Smithers and Kitwanga.

More notes on education across the Northwest can be explored here.
