Masset's Howard Phillips Hall is is the host for the latest stop on Haida Gwaii for MLA Jennifer Rice |
Residents of Haida Gwaii looking to get the scoop on government programs or just a scoop of ice cream for that matter, will be heading for the Howard Phillips Hall in Masset tomorrow, as North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice hosts and Information session from 3 to 5 PM.
The two hour get together, provides residents of the region a chance to stop by and ask questions of the MLA, or make inquiries about some of the NDP government plans for the fall and winter months.
One topic that may come up is for an update on BC Ferry service to and from the Islands, a theme that tends to dominate a lot of the conversation around the communities on Haida Gwaii.
As we noted on the blot last week, BC Ferries has hailed some strong financial results in the first quarter of 2019 and added to a number of routes in the lower mainland/Vancouver Island area, the latest updates to service have not had quite the same impact on the Northern routes as have been delivered for the southern regions.
