Pembina remains on track for terminal opening for second half of 2020

August brings a string of financial report from Canada's energy producers and Pembina pipeline was one of a number that provided for their latest financial review late last week.

For the Calgary based energy company, their Prince Rupert plans received some significant mention as part of their August overview, with the company making note that construction continues to move forward at their Watson Island site, with all sphere materials now on site, along with sphere, rail yard track and plant foundation construction now underway.

They did note that the budget for the project which was first estimated to come in at 250 million dollars is now trending over budget.

Part of that cost over run could come from some dock work that is required at the site, with the Alberta company having recently received a building permit from the City of Prince Rupert for rehabilitation work to the old pulp mill wharf facility and to develop the infrastructure required to
load propane to the ships that will call on the terminal.

More on their August financial report can be explored here.

Once completed the Pembina Terminal at Watson Island will
ship Liquid propane shipped by rail from their Redwater complex near Edmonton

The completed facility is anticipated to begin shipping LPG to global markets towards the third quarter of next year, pending regulatory approvals.
