Cedar Village Housing Society opens applications for new Elders/Seniors residence on Green Street

The Cedar Village Housing Society is now accepting applications
from potential residents for the new facility on Green Street in Prince Rupert

Work has hit the home stretch for the new Elders/Seniors facility on Green Street and as the inside of the new facility begins to take shape the Cedar Village Housing Society has opened up the application period for those that may wish to become residents of the stunning new building on the city's east side.

An information release from Friday provides some details about the residence, which is open to all residents of the North Coast. The residence will feature a mix of single and two bedroom units an incorporates a number of Tsimshian designs as focal points and will offer 32 high quality and affordable housing units for those who are 65 and over.

Those interested in applying for a residence  can use the application form available here, the deadline for applications is September 25th.

The project was put together by the Metlakatla Development Corporation and is located on what was once the old King Edward School site at the corner of Green Street and 7th Avenue East.
