Middle School departure makes for SD52 Principal shuffle

Prince Rupert Middle School will see a new Vice Principal this September
as Peter Scott takes his leave of SD52

Prince Rupert is about to lose another school administrator to the Grand Forks School District, with Vice Principal Peter Scott having accepted a Principal's position with the Grand Forks SD51 system, following the same trail taken by former Superintendent Ken Minette one year ago.

Mr. Scott who had been with SD52 for three years had served as the Vice-Principal at École Roosevelt Park Community School and one year at Prince Rupert Middle School. He also brought much enthusiasm to a pair of local school initiatives through his work with the local Science Fair and Sphero Olympics.

In a statement released this week by SD52 Irene Lapierre, Superintendent for the Prince Rupert School District made note of Mr. Scott's time on the North Coast.

“The District is very grateful to Peter for his contributions to the school district and we wish Peter the best of luck in his new district” 

A New  Vice Principal will greet students at Conrad Elementary this September

With his departure for the south, there will be a shuffle in the Vice-Principal ranks, with Tania Murray moving to the community to take on the position of Vice-Principal at Conrad Elementary.

Ms. Murray brings 17 years of experience in education to the North Coast, both in isolated rural settings as well as in urban communities.  The new VP at Conrad has held a number of leadership and management positions during her career and will complete her Masters in Special Education in October of this year.

Moving across town to fill the vacant position at Prince Rupert Middle School, with be Paramjit Khaira who has served as Vice Principal at Conrad Elementary since February of 2015.

In addition to his new position as Vice-Principal at the Middle School, Mr. Khaira will continue with his part time role of Vice Principal of Innovation and Technology with SD52, where he will continue to promote and move the District's technology initiative plans forward.

The announcement statement was posted to the SD52 website on Tuesday.
