British Columbia's MLA's returned to their seats in the Legislature following the Family Day weekend, with Finance Minister Carole James delivering the government's financial plan with Tuesday afternoon's budget speech.

For the North Coast and Northwest, it would be announcements outside of the Legislature however that would capture much of the interest of residents.

The ferry announcement followed last Saturday's announcement from Terrace of 100 million dollars in funding for Northwest communities to assist in their infrastructure needs.
Premier Horgan's announcement provided for a stream of commentary on the occasion from both MLA Rice and Prince Rupert Mayor Lee Brain, as they celebrated the funding and what it could deliver to the region.
