The first words on what will be a two to three month journey towards a Budget for the City of Prince Rupert will get underway tonight, as the City's Financial Officer Corinne Bomben will make her first presentation on the theme to City Council.
The introduction to the process will come as part of the City's Regular Council session, with a Report to Council to be included as part of the Agenda following tonight's public session.
The path ahead will see the City hold consultation with the public as they work towards crafting their financial blue print for the the year, which if past precedent holds true will see the adoption of the budget to arrive sometime in May.
Residents of the city will learn at that time what increase if any may be included as part of this years annual Tax Call of July.
As City Council works through their deliberations as part of the Budget making we will archive our notes here.
