Search for new Prince Rupert Airport Manager to come to end Monday

It's career search that has pretty well flied well under the radar and in a few short days the competition for the post of Airport Manager at Prince Rupert Airport will come to an end.

We haven't heard much about the airport in a fairly long period of time from City Council or the Airport Authority since the departure of the last Manager for sunnier skies in Seattle back in the fall, but it appears that the work towards finding a new Manager to handle aviation themes moved forward in February.

The position reports to the Board of the Prince Rupert Airport Authority, which includes Mayor Lee Brain, City Administrator Rob Buchan, and the City Council. The eight Directors of the Authority who oversee the operations of the airport are appointed by the City and sit for a term of two years.

Some of the scope of what they are looking for in the next Airport manager can be reviewed below.

The full Career Opportunity advertisement can be reviewed here.

Details related to compensation and other elements of the position are available upon request.

There is no timeline included as to when a final decision may be made from the applications received by Monday, March 7th.
