The British Columbia government's review of the Freedom on information and Protection of Privacy Act is currently at the midpoint of a consultation period, with the deadline to participate in the process coming up on March 31st.
The Act which was adopted in 1992 requires a review from a Legislature Special Committee every six years and 2022 marks the latest of those review periods.
Towards that review the Committee has met twice so far this year with sessions hosted on February 17th and March 4th.
When it comes to the current public engagement, those with an interest in the topic can provide their contribution by way of a written, audio or video presentation, with the guidelines to what the Committee is looking for available here and below:

Following the conclusion of the current consultation period, a number of meetings are being planned towards the Committee's work on the review.

The Commitee is required to issue its report and any recommendations by June 15th of this year.
