District of Port Edward gets closer to opening of information survey period for Neighbourhood Concept plans

Residents of Port Edward will soon have
an opportunity to share comments on
plans for development of the downtown
area of the District

With plans for development of the downtown Port Edward area now moving forward, the District of Port Edward will soon be seeing out the comments for the public in the community.

Noting how Commercial lands are essential to support the ongoing viability of other land uses in the community, the District is undertaking a Neighbourhood Concept plans for an area of land in the community along Skeena Drive north of Rainbow Avenue.

An outline of what they hope to achieve and the guiding principles towards the project is included as part of a Social Media message on the District of Port Edward Facebook page,

In their Social Media page update the District notes that their engagement process is a COVID-safe opportunity for residents to have a say on the development of downtown Port Edward.

The survey will be available online soon - you'll notice reminders over the next month that will encourage as many community responses as possible by January 15th.

Follow the District of Port Edward Facebook page to see when the invitation to participate is issued.

The plans towards future development were mentioned as part of the December 8th District Council Session.
