City reverts to two bag limits for residential garbage collection
With the Ridley Island landfill site now back to regular hours, as is the Kaien Road Recycling Centre, the City of Prince Rupert has announced that next week will mark the return to the regular limits of two bags on the amount of garbage that residents can put out for collection.
The move was put in place when the City closed the landfill site to the public on March 20th, during the city's COVID response.
As part of the city's revised operations, the city had allowed residents to put out a third bag, an allowance that comes to an end this week by way of announcement from the city's Social media stream on Facebook.
Residents can see the collection calendar and other notes on the city's residential collection policy from the city website here.
