Hiring process now underway for Second Bylaw enforcement officer

One of Councillor Barry Cunningham's longest running wishes for the city is about to come true, with the City of Prince Rupert currently seeking the services of a second bylaw enforcement officer, with the city finally posting the long sought after Job opportunity to their website last week.

The opportunity to post the second job in the Bylaw enforcement office came following the approval of the City's Budget for 2019 on April 18th.

The passage of the Budget bylaws allowed for the funding for the position to be provided through the Budget surplus.

The position will included as part of the city's Operation Department with resumes to be directed towards Operations Manager, Tanya Ostrom.

The closing date for those with an interest in the position is May 10th.

As we've recounted in the past, the call for a second by law officer position has often been a request of Mr. Cunningham, with the third term council member making it a key element of his Budget wish list for 2019.
