Lax Kw'alaams schedules two November sessions for Resource management presentations

The Integrated Resource Management Department with the Lax Kw'alaam Band is about to launch a pair of engagement sessions for members of Lax Kw'alaams, marking two dates in November on the calendar for the presentations.

Looking to open communication with members on resource management, Lax Kw'alaams officials will be providing a review of current and completed projects at the two community sessions.

The first is to be held in the Elders Lodge at Lax Kw'alaams on Tuesday November 6th from Noon until 4 PM.

One week later, onTuesday, November 13th, they will hold an information session in Prince Rupert taking place at the Highliner Plaza in the Metlakatla Room, that session will run from 5:30 to 8PM.

The twin engagements with the Lax Kw'alaams membership offer the chance for participants to ask questions and provide feedback to technicians and biologists on had for the events.

Some of the areas that will be explored as part of the presentation are notes related to abalone, clams, eulachon, Sm’algyax place names and traditional foods.

Updates on the two events can be found through the Lax Kw'alaams Facebook page.
