The Prince Rupert Regional Archives, located in the basement of the east side of City Hall |
The City of Prince Rupert is looking to give the Regional Archives a home for another five years, with a proposal to renew the lease on the east side of the basement area to the Regional Archives Society.
In a notice posted to the City of Prince Rupert website, the city notes that the terms of the leasing arrangement will see the Archives pay the City rent of $1,307.75 per month.
As part of the process of renewal of the lease, the city is seeking the comment of anyone who may have concerns about the lease notification, if so you can address your comments to Rory Mandryk, Corporate Administrator for the City of Prince Rupert.
Any comment or concern must be submitted by 4 PM on Friday, October 26th.
You can review the city's notes on the lease proposal here.
In addition to their fixed location in the basement of City Hall, the Regional Archives Society hosts this website, which offers up some background on their work and some samples of their collection.
