Like a rock band on the road, the Skeena-Bulkley Five (occasionally four) roll into Prince Rupert tonight, ready to deliver the latest in a string of election debates for residents of the Northwest.
With recent appearances (for some) in the eastern reaches of the Skeena-Bulkley Valley riding and then on to Haida Gwaii and Smithers, along with a stop inTerrace last night, the candidates by now probably have their forum presentations down pretty good.
Prince Rupert residents get the chance to put them to the political test at the Lester Centre, this evening's venue for the discussion offering perhaps the last opportunity to learn more about what the candidates for the November 19th election have to offer.

Five place cards will be set out across the stage at the Lester Centre tonight, providing welcome to the incumbent NDP MP Nathan Cullen and those challengers looking to unseat the long time MP, with Liberal Brad Layton, Conservative Tyler Nesbitt, Jeannie Parnell representing the green party and Donald Spratt of the Christian Heritage party all invited to tonight's event.
Tonight's election forum is organized through the Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce, with sponsorship from CityWest, the BC Northern Real Estate Board and Prince Rupert Grain.
The event gets underway at 6:30 PM and will feature members of the local media providing some questions for the candidates, followed by an opportunity for the audience to offer questions to the candidates in a moderated setting. The moderator for this evening's debate is Lucas Anders from Prince Rupert's EZ Rock.

For those that can't make it to the Lester Centre for this evening's forum, CityWest is scheduled to broadcast the event on their Community channel ten and stream it through their website here.
Heading towards election day, the local race would appear to be solidly in hand for Mr. Cullen, with the latest projections from the political website threehunderedeight.com showing the NDP candidates hold on the riding to still be quite strong.
From the graphic posted to the website as of yesterday, in Skeena-Bulkley Valley the NDP is projected to receive 61 percent of the vote, with the Conservative party the next closest at near 24 percent.
From there the numbers drop significantly for the remaining challengers in this years campaign.
