PRMS Replacement plans set for some advancement this Spring

SD52 is preparing to submit their concept plan for the future of PRMS

The path forward for the plan for replacement of Prince Rupert Middle School gained a bit more traction last month, that as SD52 noted that they were working towards submission of their Concept plan for the seismic replacement of the aging facility on Ninth Avenue West.

The submission of the plan will provide for the template for the road ahead for the long delayed replacement of the middle school, something that the School District has been hoping to achieve since they merged the two high schools a decade ago.

As we outlined  last week, the news of the Concept plan was included as part of the Board of Education work at their April meeting, the PRMS plan part of the Capital Budget Approval for 2020-21.

The Concept plan comes after SD52 hosted some community engagement earlier this winter.
