Diana Lake opens May 15th for Day Use |
As British Columbia prepares to move towards Phase 2 of the Restart BC program, some welcome news for residents of Prince Rupert and area looking to get some time in the sun (hopefully) over the long weekend, with the announcement today that Diana Lake Provincial Park will open for Day Use on Friday.
North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice shared the welcome news for North Coast residents today, noting that in response to a number of calls to her office and after speaking with the Ministry of Environment, the Park will open on Friday.
If possible the MLA might also want to see if she can do something about the weather short term for opening day ...
The roll out of making provincial campsites available to the public again will still restrict camping in such locations as Prudhomme Lake Park and Lakelse Lake for just a bit longer.
As we outlined last week, the larger launch for campgrounds will come in the first week of June, with the Discover Camping Reservation System back in service as of May 25th to accept bookings for facilities across BC.
