Prince Rupert is eleven days away from the latest update for the city's vision planning, with the City of Prince Rupert and redesign rupert set to showcase the results of a one year process that has taken in over 40 organizations to craft the planning for the future of the community.

Taking to his Social media stream of Facebook on Friday, Mayor Lee Brain issued the invitation to the public to their Prince Rupert 2030 event, set for 7 PM on Thursday, December 12th at the Lester Centre of the Arts.

As part of the evening of presentations will be some words from renowned planner and urban designer Larry Beasley who has been part of the team that was assembled to develop plans for the community to cover the next decade for Prince Rupert.

And as if the prospect of a big unveil for the newest vision plan isn't enough, the Mayor also offers up an additional teaser for the event, with the promise of what he calls Very Exciting news to be delivered as part of the December 12th event.

For those that can't make the event, the Mayor also notes that CityWest will be live streaming the event  and recording it for later viewing through their Facebook portal.

The December 12th event is co-hosted by DP World, the Prince Rupert Port Authority, Ridley Terminals , Ray-Mont Logistics and Community Futures.
