City Council has approved a request to seek funding for another year of the business facade program |
At Monday's City Council session, the City's Financial Officer Corinne Bomben sat in for the Economic Development officer, outlining the nature of the city's funding quest, which will see the City look to access the 20,000 dollars that is currently available.
If secured, the program would be administered by the Economic Development Office on behalf of the City of Prince Rupert and would be used to help local businesses or property owners to get some of the money back on any facade improvements that they may make to provide for a more visual impact for their establishments.
You can review some of the program motes from the City's Agenda from Monday on page 5.
