City seeks volunteers for Lester Centre Board and Recreation Commission

As we head towards Spring it's recruitment season and not to be left out is the City of Prince Rupert, which is currently looking for interested residents willing to volunteer for City positions on two Boards of Directors.



The First opportunity is that of the Lester Centre, where one opening is currently available, with the successful applicant to start immediately.



The City is also seeking members for their Recreation Commission, with six volunteer positions available, with the successful applicants to take their seats on April 1st.

Should you have an interest in offering your time and interest to either opportunity you are asked to  submit a letter of interest, along with a written description of your skills and experiences related to the position that you are applying for.

The City's Notice of the two opportunities provides further guidance on the two positions of note:

The City appoints to our committees on the basis of merit and is strongly committed to equity and diversity within our community. We especially welcome applications from visible minority group members, women, First Nations persons, persons with disabilities, persons of minority sexual orientations and gender identities, and others with the skills and knowledge to productively engage with diverse communities. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

The Deadline for applications for both positions is March 16th at 4:30 PM, you can deliver your submission to Prince Rupert City Hall at 424 3rd Avenue West.
